EUROSPHERE International Project Conference

"The EUROSPHERE research network will hold its first international conference about the European Public Sphere. EUROSPHERE is a framework 6 project (http://www.eurosphere.uib.no/)

The idea of the conference is to bring together international experts to discuss 'European public spheres' and 'diversity' as well as the relationships between them. Experts in political and social sciences are invited to deal critically with these concepts in theoretical, methodological and empirical terms. During the afternoon sessions, Eurosphere researchers will present empirical results based on the ongoing research in the Eurosphere project.

Furthermore, representatives of European NGOs as well as politicians and representatives of think tanks are invited to discuss issues of the European public sphere and diversity from their specific point of view.

Please note that registration is needed until October 15, 2009.
